About The Position

Edge Plastics Inc. is a plastic injection molding manufacturing company located in Mansfield, Ohio. Edge Plastics manufactures household storage containers and sells to large retailers across the United States and Canada. We are a privately owned, fast-paced organization that has expanded over the last five (5) years and are looking to continue to grow the client base. As a Sales Account Manager, you will drive revenue growth and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, reporting directly to the VP of Sales. You will act as the crucial link between our customers and internal operations, identifying new sales opportunities, managing the complete sales cycle, and ensuring seamless project execution from concept to delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, or business.
  • 2-5 years’ proven outside sales experience.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite products with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel combined with above average skills in software programs such as Photoshop, Adobe, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operations efficiently and effectively with excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentational skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Possesses knowledge of competitive products and markets.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% monthly or as business dictates.
  • Flexibility to make/take client calls during different time zones.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable personal vehicle to meet with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with selling to major, big box retailers.
  • Preferred experience in selling plastics and/or home goods industry.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and increases sales volume within assigned accounts and territory; meets and exceeds assigned goals and sales objectives as well as exceeding customer expectations regarding customer service and solution-minded interactions.
  • Targets strategic accounts to drive incremental growth opportunities specifically in accounts without current sales coverage.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, recommending value-added solutions and delivering status updates on ongoing initiatives.
  • Input details of customer products on the customer internal system and company ERP system.
  • Partners with Accounting and Shipping Departments to ensure payments are received, disputes are resolved.
  • Keeps up to date on administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining customer service call logs and internal service records-effectively and using CRM to drive customer penetration and opportunity identification.
  • Travels, arranges, sets up and attends trade shows
  • Create presentations for strategic customer meetings.
  • Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
