Representing KERA 90.1 FM | TV 13.1, this role is for individuals who love independent journalism and are looking for the opportunity to leverage their expertise in pursuing sales opportunities, advertising agencies, and direct client relationships. The success in this role will be measured by the ability to achieve sales performance, manage sponsors, develop proposals, build relationships, and track activity in the CRM. A typical day involves hunting for new business, meeting with business leaders and agencies, engaging with existing accounts, proposing and selling sponsorship schedules, programs, and events to achieve sales goals, and serving as a media consultant. This role also involves developing and growing an account list by prospecting and engaging with new clients, utilizing familiarity with local market media and competitor dynamics, and leveraging KERA's radio and digital products. Collaboration with team members, including a Business Development Specialist, is expected for crafting proposals and utilizing audience analytics for proof of performance. The effort in this role fuels independent media in the Dallas region.
