About The Position

JTEKT Column Systems North America is a dynamic and innovative Tier 1 automotive supplier, heavy truck, off-road/utility and manufacturer of steering columns and related systems. As we continue to expand our product portfolio, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Account Manager to join our team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years account/project management experience preferred, with automotive experience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Team player and model employee.
  • Ability to work with and communicate with others.
  • Confident, self-driven, and dynamic.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to lead a project using own initiative and working as part of a team.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate/accessible and organized documentation.
  • Ability to present results and strategy at the senior management level.
  • Ability to effectively manage customer and staff relationships.
  • Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Effective and productive meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop productive client relationships.
  • Oversee projects and business relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Maintain and communicate customer timelines and deliverables.
  • Initiate and develop strong relationship with customer base.
  • Analyze all existing program profitability and perform cost improvement activities to add value to the product and recover loss.
  • Lead new business RFQ meetings and manage tracking of quote performance to assure timing and targets are met or addressed.
  • Responsible for cost estimate for new products.
  • Field account and product-related calls from clients.
  • Address client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in a timely manner, with follow-up when appropriate.
  • Manage, support, and service the account-related needs of an assigned set of strategic customers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
