About The Position

Go Maverick Group has a fast-growing, Ohio-based wholesale distributor client in the children’s and baby space—and the leading supplier of essential products to businesses, nonprofits, and government organizations nationwide. As an Account Manager, you’ll step into a high-impact role where you’ll both manage key customer relationships and actively grow new business. This is a perfect opportunity for someone 2–4 years into their career who’s ready to take the next step—owning accounts, building strategy, and directly influencing revenue. You won’t be doing this alone—you’ll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and vendor partners to bring ideas to life and drive results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • ~2+ years of experience in sales, retail, or a customer-facing role
  • Strong communicator who can build trust and influence others
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and negotiating
  • Quick learner with a passion for growth
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials as well as deliver compelling sales presentations
  • Confident in your own abilities and a strong listener
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer goods, wholesale, or marketing is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop strong relationships with key decision-makers across your accounts
  • Learn your customers’ businesses inside and out—how they operate, what they need, and where you can add value
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Own your pipeline—from lead generation to closing deals
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent Child Source and expand your network
  • Collaborate across teams (Marketing, Customer Service, vendors) to deliver solutions and drive results
  • Help develop account strategies, pricing approaches, and growth plans
  • Bring forward ideas based on market trends and customer insights
  • Present solutions confidently and negotiate new business opportunities
