About The Position

This role is for a Sales / Account Manager Trainee at a long-established Pittsburgh glass manufacturer that creates highly customized glass products for customers in aerospace & defense, lighting, energy, and other specialized industries. This is not a traditional sales job with cold-call quotas. The trainee will be trained from the ground up to become a go-to resource for a group of established customers. The position involves building and maintaining relationships, serving as the primary point of contact from order entry through production and shipment, reviewing customer drawings and specifications, helping customers determine the best approach for their custom glass applications, working with Engineering and Sales to determine manufacturability, discussing product requirements, coordinating custom orders, answering technical questions, and learning the company's unique products, manufacturing processes, and capabilities. The role also includes occasional customer visits and industry trade shows. Every order is different, requiring constant learning to turn customer concepts into manufacturable products.
