About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Sales Account Executive to join our advertising sales team. This role is crucial in connecting Lamar Advertising with the communities we serve, focusing on developing long-term advertising relationships and exceeding sales objectives in an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will understand the synergy between marketing and sales and be driven by achieving sales success. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with a combination of in-office and field work, with significant earning potential and opportunities for professional growth within the company.

Requirements

  • Current and Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in-person.
  • Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree preferred.
  • Previous Outdoor Advertising sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitor's clients.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition.
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently.
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
  • Develop presentation skills using computer tools and present to clients regularly.
  • Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans a month in advance.
  • Follow up on all client production orders and problem-solve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of clients and sales activity.
