About The Position

This role is for a SailPoint Tech Lead I at Vanguard, a leading investment management company. The position involves advanced SailPoint Identity IQ expertise, providing architectural guidance, and leading software, middleware, or hardware projects. The role requires ensuring the viability of IT deliverables, recommending development options, conducting testing, and resolving complex issues. The Tech Lead will communicate with stakeholders, evaluate change requests, and maintain current knowledge of IT development methodologies and technical standards. Mentoring junior IT staff and reviewing documentation are also key responsibilities. The position requires thorough understanding and compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years of development experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Work with Information Security IAM business partners to define business requirements and identify security improvements.
  • Expert Java level development, design, and debugging skills.
  • Advanced database knowledge including design relational database table schema, create advanced SQL queries for both selecting and updating data, Gather usage statistics to determine DB load.
  • SQL and Python scripting include utilizing scripting solutions to automate monitoring activities.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced SailPoint Identity IQ expertise including demonstrated ability to develop and debug custom code, workflows, configurations.
  • Provide architectural guidance for SailPoint Engineering development teams.
  • Provides advanced level IT technical lead services and direction for software, middleware, or hardware projects on a single platform.
  • Provides technical expertise and completes complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensures the viability of IT deliverables.
  • Recommends development options and conducts testing.
  • Identifies potential solutions and may approve solutions proposed by team members.
  • Resolves complex issues uncovered by testers and internal clients.
  • Communicates with key stakeholders on project issues and implications.
  • Evaluates the impacts of change requests on technologies.
  • Maintains current knowledge of IT development methodology, architecture design, and technical standards.
  • Mentors IT staff with less experience and identifies training needs.
  • Reviews and approves documentation and diagrams created by IT team members.
  • Writes documentation, including technical standards and processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
  • May participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout product life cycle to contribute technical expertise and to identify issues.
  • Presents technical status and issues at milestone reviews.
  • Thoroughly understands and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verifies that deliverables meet requirements.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
