About The Position

Accordant is expanding its software development capabilities with a focus on building solutions within and around the Sage Intacct ecosystem. This role seeks a skilled Software Developer with deep integration experience to design and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that extend the value of Sage Intacct for clients. The developer will be instrumental in developing, customizing, and integrating solutions that connect Sage Intacct with other enterprise systems. This involves partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Client Success teams to translate accounting and operational needs into technical solutions. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping Accordant’s software development vertical at the intersection of cloud ERP, financial systems, and modern development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on integrations or enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience working with Sage Intacct APIs or similar ERP/accounting platforms.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/HTML and modern web development practices.
• Strong backend development experience, including T-SQL, XML, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with OAuth, asynchronous programming, and modern authentication mechanisms.
• Solid understanding of financial data structures and workflows within accounting systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the US or Canada; sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with middleware or iPaaS solutions (e.g., Boomi, Workato, Celigo).
• Experience with Azure Functions or other cloud-native development tools.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial operations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to front-end frameworks or UI libraries such as Kendo UI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions that integrate with Sage Intacct and related financial systems.
• Build and maintain integrations using Sage Intacct Web Services (XML-based APIs) and REST-based services where applicable.
• Develop custom applications, automation scripts, and extensions that enhance Sage Intacct functionality and client workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate business and accounting needs into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code aligned with modern development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize integrations and applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in architectural discussions, contributing to decisions that support long-term platform growth and extensibility.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices to ensure high-quality, reliable deployments.
• Stay current with Sage Intacct platform updates, APIs, and ecosystem tools, and proactively recommend improvements.
