About The Position

We are seeking to fill multiple Safety Watch positions for the 2026 Fall Season involving plant turnaround projects. This role is dedicated to monitoring the safety of workers performing a variety of tasks within different industrial facilities. No industry experience? No problem, we have an incredible training program to ensure your success. Experienced? We would love to hear from you. At United Safety we value diversity and welcome all experience levels. Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • CSO
  • CSTS-20 or CSTS-09
  • Able to successfully complete our 5-day training program including a drug and alcohol test

Responsibilities

  • Confined space monitor (when workers are inside the vessel)
  • Fire watch (when workers performing hot work)
  • Bottle watch (operating and attending breathing air supply equipment)
  • Gas monitoring (using electronic gas monitoring devices to assess air quality in work area)
  • Safety monitoring for other activities, including but not limited to: blinding, blanking, valve removal, piping, etc.
  • Breathing apparatus activities
