About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Safety Training Manager to join their HSE Team. This role is crucial for protecting employees, safeguarding assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining operations through the development and implementation of policies, procedures, controls, training, and continuous improvement programs. The HSE Team is responsible for managing safety on gigawatts of high-energy infrastructure that is scaling rapidly. They need to keep a workforce running at full intensity 24/7, without injuries, by managing an environment that can foster fatigue and high-energy exposure risks. The team also establishes and maintains environmental compliance. This role will likely oversee multiple sites within and outside of Arizona, each with unique compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CHE, EE, ISE, ME), Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of safety training experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial operations, or similar high-hazard environment.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA (29 CFR 1910 and 1926), NFPA, ANSI, ISO, IEC, UL, and EPA codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering safety training to diverse audiences, including frontline workers, supervisors, and technical staff.
  • Ability to design curriculum, build training modules, and adapt content for hands-on, classroom, and digital formats.
  • Proficiency with training management systems (LMS) and digital recordkeeping tools.
  • Certification/Training Completed: OSHA 30, OSHA 500/501 trainer authorization, CST, CET, or other relevant safety credential.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive safety training - covering new hire orientation, annual refreshers, specialized certifications, and all required OSHA, equipment-specific, and site-specific programs - for a high-automation manufacturing workforce including employees, contractors, and supervisors.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps, high-risk tasks, and emerging hazards across operations, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation, ensuring alignment with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, ADOSH requirements, corporate standards, and audit expectations.
  • Integrate training into operational changes, partnering with operations and engineering to support new equipment commissioning, process updates, and automation upgrades.
  • Measure and improve training effectiveness, using observations, audits, quizzes, performance metrics, and incident learnings to strengthen workforce competency and safety culture.
