About The Position

We are committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. This role provides leadership and establishes a safety culture within the manufacturing environment. The Safety Technician is responsible for conducting audits, maintaining documentation, enforcing safety policies, investigating incidents, and interacting with regulatory agencies. The position also involves organizing and conducting safety meetings and training, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires adaptability to a flexible, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment, and the ability to act as a First-Responder for emergencies.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience required.
OSHA 10 Hour & 30 Hour Certification
Ability to write and implement written site safety management plan.
Understanding of manufacturing environment and risks present.
Good comprehension of Health & Safety OSHA rules applicable to manufacturing.
Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Products including: Outlook; Word; Power Point; etc.
Must be organized.
Must have strong computer and presentation skills.
Team player.
Detail-oriented.
Must be able to develop and deliver training.
Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
Must be able to comply with swing-shift hours if required.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and establish a safety culture.
Conduct audits of the project site to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
Maintain documentation necessary to comply with the Site Safety Management Plan, OSHA and other applicable regulations.
Work with management to enforce safety policies and procedures that help prevent accidents.
Responsible for incident investigations, complaints, and recommend measures to management to prevent reoccurrences.
Interact with OSHA and other regulatory agencies regarding citations, accidents, claims, site visits and audits.
Organize and conduct safety meetings and training.
Able to adapt to a flexible, fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform as a First-Responder for injuries or other urgent situations.
