About The Position

Provides support on health and safety to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader. Assists in the analysis, review and sustainability of Health & Safety Management Systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to determine gaps within corporate health and safety initiatives and local health and safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to build an understanding of HSE culture.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards in line with corporate data protection and retention requirements.
  • Ability to stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
  • Ability to report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard through internal reporting processes.
  • Ability to work as a health and safety resource and liaison between shop floor and management.
  • Ability to support the implementation and maintenance of hazard identification, incident investigation and risk assessments processes.
  • Ability to support closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to create safety awareness.
  • Ability to perform basic administrative tasks as required.
  • Ability to participate in health and safety inspection and audit programs.
  • Ability to actively participate and lead incident investigation and reporting.
  • Ability to gather data for the analysis of safety related trends.
  • Ability to assist in maintenance of local health and safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
