Requirements

Must have valid driver's license
Must have NCCER Certification or a Safety degree
Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Hazard Communication orientation/test
Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
Job site orientation
Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the work place

Responsibilities

Assists in the administration and overall supervision of project safety and accident and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction areas; identifies, documents, and recommends resolutions of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions and follows through to ensure corrections have been made.
Documents and investigates all accidents, safety violations, and other unsafe conditions or activities.
Compiles data, photographs, etc., and prepares all pertinent forms and reports according to corporate procedures and federal, state, and local regulations associated with accidents.
Issues various entry permits (e.g., to confined spaces) as required.
Assists in emergency rescues as required.
Assists in maintaining fire protection and grounding systems.
Assists in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interfacing with training programs.
