About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide safety, production, and PIV training for associates and Full Time Regular Staff (100+). This role will also be tasked with fostering a positive safety culture through training and enforcement of safety rules and work standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of safety and/or training related experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting
  • Must have experience working with/training with PIT (forklifts, tuggers)

Responsibilities

  • Provide applicable Safety Data during Pre-Shift Meetings.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation training for associates.
  • Track/Update Site KPI’s & Report Out to customer on a Monthly cadence.
  • Maintain PIV Impact Program.
  • Perform Safety Gemba walks throughout the Plant (Safety Compliance).
  • Off-shift team safety audits.
  • Behavioral Based Observations.
  • Power Industrial Truck Observations.
  • Provide continuous training efforts to maintain OSHA Compliance and improve safety culture.
  • Monthly Safety Training.
  • Annual OSHA Compliance Training.
  • Respond/Investigate incidents/accidents that occur in the facility.
  • Provide containment.
  • Administer recertification process.
  • Facilitate 4SPS events.
  • Oversee post-accident reports and drug testing.
  • Facilitate Random Drug Testing.
  • Maintain safety information on the Site Communication Board.
  • Ensure associate compliance with PPE, dress code and MAU policies.
  • Assist with Security compliance and suspension of employees.
  • Provide continuous improvement opportunities for the team.
  • Provide assessments of associates training progress.
  • OSHA Annual Required Safety Training.
  • Production Post Validation.
  • Powered Industrial Equipment Training Validation.
  • Document the training.
  • Ensure Cross Training Matrix are maintained / update to date.
  • Document the training in Bullhorn.
  • Provide coaching to all Associates.
  • Assist with site wide communications related to policy changes and deployment.
  • Serve as a witness, when required for attendance, work performance, and conduct counseling sessions.
