We are currently hiring for: Job Title: Safety Supervisor Job Summary: Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of Health, Safety, and Security policies while complying with OSHA and EPA standards. The Safety Supervisor will take direction from the Safety Manager and directly supervises and directs the Health Services Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience including supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA and other applicable Federal and State legislations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team of resourceful and skilled team members.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Advanced computer skills including Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including root cause analysis.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic First Aid Certification, EMT licenses and knowledge of Worker’s Compensation is preferred.
  • Coaching and performance management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily activities to ensure a safe work environment, through training, audits, inspections, and enforcement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of safety.
  • Assist with Work Comp Case Management.
  • Maintain records for OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies and internal required records as directed by the Safety Manager.
  • Lead Health Services Team.
  • Lead internal teams, safety related activities and projects as directed by the Safety Manager.
  • Partner with Human Resources, management and team members to promote safety.
  • Perform internal administrative duties such as scheduling, training, and program management as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
