About The Position
Avenal Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Safety Spotter / Laborer to join our team in Avenal, CA! This is a full time, long term position with a reputable company. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 4:30am-2pm with some overtime. The pay range for this position is $19-22/hour.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
Nice To Haves
- Preferably in a safety oriented position
- Experience operating equipment and mechanical ability is a plus
Responsibilities
- Guiding customers to different areas of landfill
- Spotting/directing trucks
- Inspecting loads
- Paying attention to “hot zones” to ensure the safety of all customers and employees
- Traffic management - moving signs and cones
- Ensuring that all customers are wearing proper PPE
- General site cleanup
- Performing other assigned duties at the landfill as needed
