About The Position
HazTek is seeking a Construction Safety Professional in Wilkes Barre, PA to provide on-site safety support for a campus-wide cabling project. Work includes running cable, adding new ports, and installing cable trays and tray hooks. Occasional core drilling will be performed by a mechanical contractor.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Five years of construction safety experience; or three years of construction safety experience plus a CHST certification or relevant degree.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently during second-shift hours.
- Excellent verbal and written skills

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site walks and monitor contractor activities for compliance with project safety requirements.
- Review work plans, identify potential hazards, and communicate safe work practices to crews.
- Partner with site leadership and contractors to address safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain required safety documentation.
