About The Position
Mullens Markings is looking for a Safety Specialist to support our pavement marking operations. In this role, you'll promote a strong safety culture by supporting field operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, investigating incidents, and managing fleet safety programs. Mullens Markings provides pavement marking services throughout Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of safety experience required.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Nice To Haves
- DOT compliance experience preferred.
- Experience in pavement marking, roadway safety, construction, transportation, or manufacturing preferred.
- Familiarity with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct jobsite and facility safety inspections.
- Lead safety training and job hazard analyses.
- Investigate incidents, vehicle accidents, and near misses.
- Track safety metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company compliance.
- Maintain Driver Qualification (DQ) files.
- Support DOT compliance, ELDs, and fleet safety programs.
- Manage vehicle accident reporting and claims.
- Partner with Operations to promote safe work practices.
