Serves as a patient safety leader, collaborating with front line staff to ensure competent and safe care to children and families. Participates in safety related clinical improvement initiatives. Acts as a change agent to lead, facilitate and support hospital and medical staff to create and sustain a culture of high reliability that focuses on elimination of preventable harm. Facilitates and coaches teams regarding risk assessment and analysis and assists them to develop action plans to prevent errors from future occurrences.
