About The Position

Bridger Pipeline LLC is hiring a Safety Specialist for a full-time, on-site position in Watford City, North Dakota. The role supports safe pipeline operations through safety meetings, worksite inspections, training, policy development, record keeping, accident investigations, and evaluation of contractor safety performance. The specialist must communicate technical information clearly and help identify and address unsafe conditions.

Requirements

A college degree with related safety work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Good office skills and record-keeping abilities.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
Valid driver's license.
English fluency, verbal and written.
Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

Prior pipeline experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and word-processing software.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety meetings and communicate technical information clearly and understandably.
Conduct site safety inspections, recommend remedies for unsafe conditions, and monitor workplace conditions.
Conduct regular training and testing on DOT operator qualification topics and OSHA confined space, lockout/tagout, HAZCOM, H2S safety, and related subjects.
Prepare safety policies and guidance materials.
Maintain and track safety training records.
Perform accident investigations.
Evaluate contractor safety performance.
