About The Position

The Safety Specialist must be able to communicate with all team members and management to gather information about jobs and be willing to promote team member involvement in the safety and ergonomics programs. The duties include, but are not limited to, taking pictures and completing work orders to correct safety conditions; perform audits on equipment and audits on necessary paperwork, including JSA, PPE checks and safety observations throughout the complex; help identify ergonomic and safety hazards and solutions; complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual paperwork, including setting up safety meetings and follow up meetings; will learn to operate air monitoring and sound level testers; will complete heat assessment on the Harvest Floor; Follow up with new hires/work hardening/injury cases; will cross train with ergonomics and foreign object tasks; willing to provide feedback from line safety monitors; must lead by example when following all company policies, procedures and good manufacturing practices. Successful Candidate will be certified in Lock-out Tag-out procedures.

  • Currently working at this facility or complex (for internal applicants)
