About The Position
Professional Services Group is hiring a Safety Services Worker for the Waukesha SAFE program. This role supports families referred by the Waukesha County Child and Family Services Department, focusing on maintaining safety in homes where children are at risk of removal or are undergoing reunification. The program addresses concerns such as safety, parenting, household management, nutrition, housing, education, employment, medical needs, mental health, and substance abuse.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
- Analyze client histories, capabilities, and needs to determine services needed to address safety concerns.
- Implement, evaluate, and review safety assessments and plans.
- Conduct face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with the safety plan.
- Serve as part of the Safety Team.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
