This position involves patrolling all areas of the property, assisting guests with room access, and monitoring various security and safety systems including Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. The role requires locking property entrances when necessary, conducting daily physical hazard inspections, and responding to accidents by contacting EMS or administering first aid/CPR. The officer will assist guests and employees during emergencies, notify appropriate individuals of incidents, and handle disturbances. Responsibilities include completing incident reports, managing interruptions and complaints, resolving safety hazards, and escorting unwelcome persons from the property. The role also requires reporting to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts, using proper code responses, and completing a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintaining confidentiality of all security and property reports and documents is crucial, with information only to be released to authorized individuals. The officer will also conduct investigations, gather evidence, and conduct interviews. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service. This includes welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential, as is developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals. The position requires meeting quality assurance expectations and standards. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and potentially meeting additional state licensing/registration requirements. The role involves reading and visually verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, using computers, moving at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog), and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It also includes moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs or ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also part of the job duties. Reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors must also be performed.
