About The Position
Join EWTN's Safety & Security team and help provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our employees, visitors, pilgrims, and guests. As a Safety & Security Officer, you'll serve as a visible presence on campus, monitor security systems, respond to emergencies, and support daily operations that help protect our mission.
Requirements
- Dependable and professional public safety professional with experience in security, law enforcement, military, EMS, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Sound judgment.
- Ability to remain discreet when handling sensitive situations.
- Valid Alabama driver's license.
- Eligible to obtain a pistol permit.
- Willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification if not already certified.
- Physically capable of performing patrol duties.
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.
- Committed to ensuring the safety and security of others.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests.
- Conduct campus patrols.
- Monitor surveillance and security systems.
- Screen vehicles and access points.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Assist visitors.
- Support special events.
- Provide transportation assistance when needed.
