About The Position

The Safety & Security Compliance Analyst supports AIT Worldwide Logistics' global Safety & Security program by helping identify, assess, and reduce operational risk across warehouse, transportation, and office environments. This role is responsible for analyzing safety and security data, supporting incident investigations, tracking corrective actions, conducting inspections and audits, and assisting with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, training, and reporting tools. The position also helps translate regulatory and operational requirements into practical actions that strengthen compliance and promote a proactive safety culture across the business. This aligns with AIT's global logistics operations and its emphasis on problem solving, continuous improvement, and trusted partnership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of combined education, training, and relevant work experience (required)
  • 3+ years experience in safety, security, compliance, risk management, logistics operations, or a related field (preferred)
  • 1+ years experience supporting incident investigations, inspections, audits, and corrective action tracking strongly (preferred)
  • 1+ years experience in a logistics, transportation, warehouse, distribution, or multi-site operational environment is highly (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety principles, hazard identification, incident investigation, and corrective action management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as OSHA, and working knowledge of DOT, TSA, CBP, or related transportation/security requirements is a plus.
  • Experience using incident management systems, audit tools, learning platforms, or dashboard/reporting systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and prepare clear reports for leadership decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse locations and functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Security Management, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (preferred)
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or equivalent (preferred)
  • ASP, GSP, CSP, CPP, PSP, PCI, or similar professional certification (preferred)
  • Incident investigation or root cause analysis training (preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of AIT’s safety and security programs across multiple operational environments.
  • Assist with the implementation of company policies, standards, and procedures related to occupational safety, physical security, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction.
  • Help maintain program documentation, records, trackers, and reporting tools to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
  • Support the development of practical, scalable solutions to strengthen safety and security performance across stations and regions.
  • Receive, review, and track safety and security incidents, near misses, and hazard reports.
  • Assist with incident investigations by gathering facts, reviewing evidence, interviewing involved personnel, identifying contributing factors, and supporting root cause analysis.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions to closure and follow up with stakeholders on implementation status and effectiveness.
  • Prepare summaries, trend reports, and lessons learned to support leadership review and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct or support routine inspections, hazard assessments, and security reviews in warehouse, transportation, and office settings.
  • Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, and security vulnerabilities; document findings clearly and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support internal audits and readiness reviews by maintaining organized records, evidence, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor recurring issues and escalate significant risks, overdue actions, or systemic concerns.
  • Assist in monitoring applicable health, safety, transportation, and security requirements at the local, state, federal, and international levels.
  • Support compliance efforts related to agencies and standards such as OSHA, DOT, TSA, CBP, and other customer or operational requirements where applicable.
  • Help review regulatory changes and support updates to internal procedures, guidance documents, and training materials.
  • Maintain records and reports necessary to demonstrate compliance and support inspections or audits.
  • Analyze safety and security data to identify trends, recurring issues, high-risk activities, and opportunities for preventive action.
  • Maintain dashboards, KPI trackers, incident logs, inspection data, training records, and corrective action reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for leadership, operations, and functional stakeholders.
  • Support the development of metrics related to incident frequency, near misses, training completion, audit findings, and corrective action closure rates.
  • Convert data into clear, actionable recommendations for operational leaders.
  • Support the creation, coordination, and delivery of safety and security communications, awareness materials, and training content.
  • Assist with onboarding, recurring compliance training, toolbox talks, safety moments, and operational guidance documents.
  • Collaborate with station leaders and site teams to reinforce expectations and promote a positive reporting culture.
  • Help communicate trends, lessons learned, and best practices in a clear and practical manner.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, Quality, Security, Facilities, Legal, and other stakeholders to address risks and support business objectives.
  • Serve as a resource to field locations for questions related to incident reporting, hazard identification, corrective actions, and program expectations.
  • Support enterprise initiatives related to safety culture, business continuity, security awareness, and operational resilience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
