Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering
Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 10 years of experience; Master’s degree with 3 to 8 years of experience
Demonstrates strong initiative and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Effective team player with strong collaboration skills
Proven ability to write clear, high-quality technical reports (advanced English level)
Strong critical thinking with the ability to analyze complex hardware and control systems

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of engine turbomachinery and/or control systems (hydromechanical, electronic, software), and aircraft powerplant systems (an asset)
Solid foundation in probability and statistics (an asset)
Programming and automation skills (an asset)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with airframers, regulatory authorities, suppliers, partners, customer support and engineering teams to define safety requirements
Perform system safety analyses to verify compliance with safety requirements; actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support engine design activities
Prepare engine certification documentation and supporting analyses for aircraft-level certification, including Fault Tree Analyses, Safety Plans, FMEA reports, Common Mode Assessments, and Fire Safety reports
Conduct technical investigations and develop solutions for issues encountered during development and in-service operation
Perform quantitative and/or qualitative Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) to support fleet management strategies for continued airworthiness
Acquire and develop technical discipline leadership, including process improvements and analytical tools, and share knowledge through documentation and technical presentations
