About The Position

This high-impact role involves shaping a safer, smarter, and more accountable university environment by driving an integrated assurance framework across a complex property portfolio. The position brings together safety, quality, and statutory compliance into a clear, data-led approach. The role owner will be responsible for audit programs, compliance systems, and performance reporting to provide stakeholders with real-time visibility of contractor performance and risk. Through dashboards, insights, and practical advice, the coordinator will influence outcomes, lift standards, and embed continuous improvement across services. This role offers genuine visibility and impact, strengthening governance, enhancing digital capability, and ensuring the University’s assets are managed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in property or facilities compliance management, including statutory compliance, fire compliance, risk management, and application of relevant legislation and standards.
  • Proven experience overseeing contractor safety management and quality assurance, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
  • Strong knowledge of contractor management practices, including performance monitoring, managing non-compliance, and ensuring effective closeout of corrective actions.
  • Experience administering compliance and assurance systems, with the ability to produce meaningful reporting, dashboards, and insights using tools such as Power BI.
  • Demonstrated capability in planning and delivering audit and inspection programs, including desktop and site-based activities, and tracking outcomes to completion.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, undertake root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, provide clear advice, and support performance uplift in a complex environment.
