About The Position

Riley Power Group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Rock Hill, SC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring a Safety Representative for our client in the state of Washington.

Requirements

  • Currently hold OSHA 30
  • Ability to sit and pass the OSHA 500
  • In depth knowledge of all OSHA standards, local, state, and federal safety laws.
  • In depth staging/scaffolding, confined space, trenching and excavation, hot work practices, and fall protection knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of safety monitoring equipment such as WBGT thermometer, lux meter, and noise dosimetry.
  • Ability to sit and pass CHST or OHST from the board of safety professionals. (Construction health and safety technician or occupational health and safety technician)
  • Will demonstrate the ability to perform all of tier one's abilities.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret company policies and procedures.
  • Employee will frequently walk; climb or balance; will regularly stand; will occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include but are not limited to close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision.
  • High school diploma/GED, preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience.
  • Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: practical skills, other medical, psychological (as required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).
  • Proof of Identification - Driver's license or any other identification card issued by federal, state, or local government that contains a photograph and the person's name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and street address
  • Proof of US Citizenship (must provide one)
  • U.S. birth certificate (birth documents issued by a hospital, notifications of birth registrations; and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010, are not accepted)
  • Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
  • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization
  • A record of Military Processing-Armed forces of the United States (Form DD 1966), provided it reflects U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Develop and assist in the implementation of real-world safety hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient in safety reporting and safety audits, assist in accident/incident investigations and provide input on incident prevention.
  • Proficient communication skills with all team members, management, and client.
  • Carries out daily responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, client/ site-owner policies, and applicable laws.
  • Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals.
