Identifies opportunities to address safety issues, conducts safety training, and provides intermediate to complex consultation to ensure operations are performed safely and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards. May oversee the work of others. Participates in, or leads emergency response activities. Plans, organizes and coordinates the hazardous materials and processes, safety, compliance and monitoring activities to ensure the safety of the university community. This includes providing consultation and guidance, conducting audits and facility inspections, conducting training, data management and addressing issues and suggesting remediation steps or improvements. Serves as a technical advisor.
