This role is responsible for implementing, managing, and documenting the Environment of Care (EOC) and Emergency Management (EM) programs. This includes areas such as fire safety, waste management, utilities, and hazardous materials. The Safety Officer will also maintain continuous readiness for regulatory agency surveys by monitoring compliance, conducting risk evaluations, and creating policies. A key part of the role involves monitoring environmental hazards, participating in root-cause investigations of incidents, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate workplace risks. Additionally, the Safety Officer will lead emergency coordination rounding, participate in EOC/EM committees, and provide safety and emergency management education.
