About The Position

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a recommissioning project in Camden, NJ. This is a hands-on, field-focused role supporting high-risk industrial work and reinforcing newly developed safety programs across the site. As a Safety Manager, you’ll lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. You’ll ensure best practices are implemented, compliance standards are met, and every team member goes home safe each day.

Requirements

8–10+ years of industrial safety experience preferred
Strong hands-on experience with LOTO, confined space entry, and hot work
OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 preferred
Ability to coach, correct, and hold teams accountable in the field
Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with gas monitoring (PID), HAZWOPER, or electrical safety is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide daily on-site safety oversight, including audits, inspections, and hazard correction
Lead toolbox talks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety meetings
Support permit-to-work systems, including confined space, hot work, and LOTO
Oversee high-risk activities such as tank cleaning, repair, and recommissioning
Train and reinforce site-specific safety programs
Ensure OSHA compliance and coordinate with contractors and site leadership
