Requirements

  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a larger safety team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to inspire and educate team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency with technology and equipment used in environmental and safety inspections.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Capable of conducting thorough site inspections and carrying necessary equipment.
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Physically able to visit and work at concrete plants, mines, and construction sites on a routine basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • five years of experience in a safety or management role strongly desired
  • High level of integrity, commitment, and passion for safety excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, assess safety risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage all motor vehicle accident investigations and reporting within your assigned region.
  • Oversee and manage worker’s compensation claims, partnering with team members and management to support affected employees.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection policies, procedures, and schedules for routine safety audits.
  • Create and execute both short-term and long-term strategies to foster a proactive safety culture across the organization.
  • Schedule and deliver engaging safety training sessions on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor adherence to safety protocols, document findings, and provide comprehensive reports to leadership.
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall mission of SRM Concrete.
