Requirements

3+ Years of verifiable experience and SME in DOT Regulations and compliance
Public speaking and/or adult education experience
Proficient in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Must have a valid drivers license with no major violations
Advanced abilities with Excel
Comfortable using a computer for various tasks beyond general use
3+ years of experience in Transportation Safety
OSHA 30 Construction Certification (Must be able to attain within 90 days of employment)
Must be able to obtain forklift certification and forklift trainer certification

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Management or related field

Responsibilities

Inspecting Evaluating workplace environments, programs, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with government safety regulations
Designing Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to control or prevent risks to workers
Training Providing initial new-hire safety training and follow-up, and demonstrating use of safety equipment
Investigating Conducting investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine the cause and possible prevention
Auditing Conducting audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Reporting Preparing written reports of findings and creating and delivering safety-related reports and presentations
