About The Position
HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on commercial construction projects in Van Wert, Ohio. The role is responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe. The Safety Manager oversees project safety activities and contractors, conducts meetings, audits, inspections, and accident investigations, and manages safety considerations for fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation. Requirements
- 7–10 years of direct construction safety experience.
- Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves
- A degree in a safety-related field.
- OSHA 510 certification and/or BCSP certification.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Conduct daily safety meetings.
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
- Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
- Oversee fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
