About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, focusing on delivering gigawatts of compute faster than anyone else. This involves acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. The company is growing rapidly, and the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team is crucial for managing safety on gigawatts of high-energy infrastructure. The team needs to ensure a 24/7 workforce operates safely and efficiently, preventing injuries and maintaining environmental compliance as the company scales.

Requirements

  • Experience owning safety at a manufacturing or heavy-industrial site, with hands-on floor experience.
  • Experience investigating incidents and driving corrective actions that change work practices.
  • Ability to build trust with operators and address problems proactively.
  • Experience building memorable safety training for crews.
  • Strong knowledge and application of OSHA general industry requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30/500 certification.
  • CSP or ASP track.
  • Experience in fabrication or heavy assembly environments.
  • Experience in startup or greenfield sites.
  • Spanish fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day safety on the ground at the Phoenix manufacturing site, identifying and mitigating hazards.
  • Run the site safety program end to end, including training, permits, incident investigation, and corrective actions.
  • Build safe operating procedures with supervisors and operators for high-energy work such as welding, cranes, powered equipment, and electrical work.
  • Ensure site compliance with OSHA and company standards while production scales.
