About The Position

Join an electrical contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project. This is a leadership-level safety opportunity overseeing electrical installation, utility construction, and multiple field safety technicians throughout the project. The Project Safety Manager will serve as the lead onsite safety professional, providing direction to the safety team while partnering with project management, electrical supervision, subcontractors, and craft personnel. This position requires someone who can balance hands-on field engagement with the leadership and coordination responsibilities necessary to drive consistent safety performance across a fast-paced, mission-critical project.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of construction site safety experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience serving in a Lead Safety Manager, Project Safety Manager, or comparable onsite safety leadership role
  • NFPA 70E Training/Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead Project Safety Manager for electrical and utility construction operations
  • Provide daily leadership and direction to multiple field safety technicians
  • Assign safety coverage and ensure appropriate oversight of active work areas
  • Mentor safety personnel and maintain consistent safety expectations across the project
  • Maintain a highly visible field presence alongside electrical crews and supervision
  • Oversee electrical installation, utility, and infrastructure construction activities
  • Monitor high-risk electrical work and ensure NFPA 70E requirements are followed
  • Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous energy control, and electrical safe work practices
  • Conduct and oversee site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, pre-task plans, and high-risk work activities
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and craft personnel
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
  • Track safety deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Maintain project safety documentation, reports, metrics, and compliance records
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce proactive hazard recognition
  • Promote accountability and a strong safety culture throughout the project

Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $70/hr (Local) | $52/hr (Non-Local)
  • Overtime: Paid After 40 Hours at 1.4x Base Rate
  • Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week for Non-Local Candidates)
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly
