About The Position

Join a specialty contractor supporting the conversion of a large warehouse into a data center in Clinton, MS. This role provides dedicated night-shift safety oversight for abrasive blasting, industrial painting and coating operations, and lead abatement activities. Work will be performed from concrete floor levels and elevated work platforms, including scissor lifts. This position requires a highly visible, field-focused safety professional who understands the hazards associated with abrasive blasting, coatings, hazardous material exposure, respiratory protection, and mobile elevated work platforms. With significant overtime and a concentrated project schedule, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction safety professional with industrial coatings or abatement experience.

Requirements

  • CHST or Higher Safety Certification
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience supporting industrial or commercial construction environments
  • Experience with abrasive blasting, industrial coatings, painting, or abatement-related work
  • Experience overseeing elevated work and scissor lift operations

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated night-shift safety oversight for abrasive blasting, painting, and coating operations
  • Maintain a highly visible field presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments
  • Monitor abrasive blasting activities and associated exposure controls
  • Support lead abatement activities and ensure required protective measures are followed
  • Monitor respiratory protection, PPE, containment, and exposure-control requirements
  • Oversee safe use of scissor lifts and other mobile elevated work platforms
  • Monitor elevated work and fall protection requirements
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of coatings, paints, solvents, and associated materials
  • Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records
  • Partner with field supervision and craft personnel to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout night-shift operations

Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $56/hr (Night Shift)
  • Overtime: Paid After 40 Hours
  • Per Diem: $150/Day (7 Days Per Week for Non-Local Candidates)
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly
