Join a contractor supporting maintenance activities at a power generation facility in Louisville, KY. Requirements

  • OSHA 510 Certification
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Powerhouse or power generation facility experience required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Power Generation Facility Safety
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety
  • Working knowledge of Confined Space Entry Programs
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Working knowledge of Hot Work Activities
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical Equipment Maintenance
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Permit-Required Work Activities

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily safety activities for maintenance operations within an active power generation facility
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Oversee confined space entry activities and permit compliance
  • Support and enforce fall protection programs and elevated work procedures
  • Monitor maintenance activities involving mechanical equipment and industrial systems
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
