Requirements
- OSHA 510 Certification
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- Powerhouse or power generation facility experience required
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Working knowledge of Power Generation Facility Safety
- Working knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety
- Working knowledge of Confined Space Entry Programs
- Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
- Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Working knowledge of Hot Work Activities
- Working knowledge of Mechanical Equipment Maintenance
- Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
- Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
- Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
- Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Working knowledge of Permit-Required Work Activities
Nice To Haves
- Fall Protection and Confined Space
- Power plant maintenance or outage experience
- Industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience supporting contractors in active industrial facilities
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily safety activities for maintenance operations within an active power generation facility
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
- Oversee confined space entry activities and permit compliance
- Support and enforce fall protection programs and elevated work procedures
- Monitor maintenance activities involving mechanical equipment and industrial systems
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
