About The Position

Cornerstone Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to promote a safe and healthful workplace and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety, health, and environmental regulations. This manager will lead the company’s work safety program, identify and mitigate workplace risks, and support employee well-being and the company’s commitment to excellence.

The role is office- and field-based, with visits to construction locations that may have varying environmental conditions. Vehicle and air travel may be required. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, sit for extended periods, and travel as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in Safety.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Windows, MS Word, Excel, Timberline, the internet, and PowerPoint.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, safety processes, and ethical practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, sit for long periods, and travel as required.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Mathematical ability for statistics and ratio analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
• A Master’s degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the implementation of comprehensive safety programs.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain safety data sheets and ensure they are accessible as needed.
• Manage OSHA and EPA recordkeeping as required.
• Oversee Workers’ Compensation processes.
• Draft detailed inspection reports documenting findings.
• Communicate safety administration protocols to company employees.
• Administer and report on the work safety program.
