Sun Tribe EPC (“Sun Tribe”) is Virginia’s premier utility-scale solar design and build firm, specializing in small and medium-sized ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities. Our construction efforts are focused throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland, and neighboring states. At Sun Tribe, we build with purpose, prioritizing safety, quality, and environmental stewardship in every project we deliver. The Safety Manager plans, directs, and oversees environmental, health, and safety practices and procedures for utility-scale solar construction projects, including day-to-day field safety execution and compliance activities on active project sites. This role plays a critical part in safe project execution across all phases of construction, including pre-mobilization planning, subcontractor readiness, active site monitoring, training, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is highly field-oriented and requires active daily engagement with construction teams and subcontractors on project sites. As a key member of the project delivery team, the Safety Manager partners closely with Construction Management to support safe, compliant, and efficient field operations while reinforcing consistent safety expectations across subcontractors, field teams, and project leadership. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Environmental Health and Safety and works closely with Construction Management, Quality, Project Management, clients, subcontractors, and other internal stakeholders. This role supports projects primarily located throughout Maryland, and neighboring states and requires regular travel to active construction sites.
