About The Position

TDX Holdings is recruiting for the position of Safety Manager. This is a full-time position located in Anchorage, AK. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The Safety Manager supports implementing, coordinating, and maintaining health and safety programs across TDX operations. This role provides day‑to‑day operational oversight of safety practices, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and partners with site leadership to drive safe work behaviors. The position promotes consistency in safety processes, supports incident response and investigations, and helps cultivate a strong safety culture across all business lines. This is a hands-on, field-engaged role suited for a safety professional who can effectively translate corporate safety strategy into practical, operational execution.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in safety management, preferably in construction, industrial, energy, or remote operations
  • Experience leading or managing safety programs across multiple sites or business units
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910 and 1926)
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote locations
  • Ability to pass background check and, if required, security clearance
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement practical safety solutions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills across all levels of the organization
  • High level of integrity, judgment, and accountability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across departments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EM385-1-1, NFPA standards, and DOT safety requirements preferred
  • Professional safety certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, or similar) preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate safety programs and standards.
  • Recommend stop‑work actions for unsafe conditions.
  • Serve as an operational liaison during audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
  • Provide safety guidance to supervisors, project managers, and site coordinators.
  • Assist in evaluating risk, tracking compliance, and reporting performance metrics.
  • Execute and maintain corporate safety programs across TDX business lines.
  • Ensure consistency in safety policies, procedures, forms, and reporting.
  • Promote continuous improvement and support program updates initiated by the Director.
  • Assist in facilitating safety meetings, reviews, and communication.
  • Conduct incident, injury, illness, and near‑miss investigations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and track corrective actions through closure.
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting.
  • Support Director in applying lessons learned across the organization.
  • Perform routine site inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Support development of Activity Hazard Analyses and site‑specific safety plans.
  • Identify and document hazards, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to remote locations such as St. Paul and Adak.
  • Validate safe practices in high‑risk activities (fuel handling, power generation, construction, driving).
  • Monitor contractor compliance with safety plans and requirements.
  • Support safety orientation and ongoing training programs.
  • Maintain training records and documentation.
  • Track training requirements for employees and subcontractors.
  • Maintain working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and industry standards.
  • Support preparation for audits and inspections.
  • Monitor applicability of regulatory changes and elevate risks to the Director.
  • Track safety metrics, deficiencies, inspections, and training compliance.
  • Assist with producing periodic safety reports for leadership.
  • Identify trends and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with HR on claims documentation and follow‑.
  • Support return‑to‑work and modified duty coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce claim frequency and severity.
  • Establish structure where limited or no actively managed safety program currently exists.
  • Build systems, define processes, ensure compliance, and drive accountability across a decentralized and evolving operational environment.
