About The Position
Seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to lead safety performance on a complex federal construction project. This role requires strong field leadership, subcontractor oversight, and strict adherence to federal safety standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of construction or industrial safety experience
- Prior experience on federal or USACE projects
- Strong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1
- Experience as SSHO or equivalent
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- Proven ability to manage subcontractor safety performance
- Must maintain permanent residence at point of origin
Nice To Haves
- CSP or CHST certification
- Experience in remote or isolated project environments
Responsibilities
- Enforce safety standards across all site activities and subcontractors
- Lead implementation of safety plans and field execution
- Identify and manage high-risk work activities
- Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Stop work when necessary and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Partner with project leadership to integrate safety into operations
- Maintain compliance with EM 385-1-1 and federal requirements
