About The Position

Norfolk Iron & Metal is seeking a motivated Safety/ISO Coordinator who is passionate about workplace safety, employee training, and continuous improvement. This position plays a key role in maintaining a strong safety culture while supporting our ISO and Quality Management Systems across multiple facilities. Requirements

Strong understanding of workplace safety principles and OSHA regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
Experience leading training sessions and facilitating employee engagement.
A continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to travel regularly between Brighton, Greeley, and Windsor locations.
Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Champion a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Coordinate and maintain the Norfolk Iron & Metal Safety Management System.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Conduct new hire safety orientation and coordinate ongoing safety training and refresher courses.
Audit warehouse safety training to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Facilitate employee engagement through safety committees, meetings, and safety initiatives.
Manage hazard identification and reporting processes while tracking corrective actions to completion.
Investigate workplace incidents and injuries, perform root cause analyses, and recommend preventive measures.
Keep Branch Leadership informed of safety performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Conduct routine safety inspections, behavioral observations, and facility audits.
Partner with supervisors and managers to address safety concerns, policy violations, and accident prevention.
