Safety Internship
About The Position
Forgen is seeking students pursuing degrees in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields—along with other interested candidates—to join our project locations for internship opportunities. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting workplace safety initiatives within a construction environment. The Safety Intern assists in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture by helping implement safety policies and procedures, conducting site observations, and supporting compliance with regulatory and company standards. Requirements
- Candidates must be working toward a BS degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
Responsibilities
- Safety Program Administration Update project safety plan and procedures.
- Maintain documentation to improve safety performance.
- Track program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Regulatory Compliance Assist with regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and audits.
- Monitor regulatory updates and integrate into the project plans.
- Ensure compliance with various agencies (e.g., OSHA).
- Data Management and Reporting Maintain safety dashboards and performance metrics.
- Compile monthly stats for site management.
- Tracking leading indicators such as observations, training, and inspections.
- Support analysis of trends to identify risk areas.
