About The Position

The HSE Manager provides support and oversight for the administration and overall implementation of jobsite health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the HSE Director. The role establishes procedures for specific goals in a broad area of work, with only results being reviewed, and develops procedures within the limits of policy and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with industrial or commercial safety
  • Must have experience with OSHA and safe work practices and standards
  • Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test
  • Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
  • OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
  • Job site orientation
  • Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, )
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, )
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or approved equivalent certifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identification of jobsite HSE needs and strategies
  • Staffing of project locations with qualified HSE personnel
  • Guidance and support of jobsite Health and Safety Managers
  • Implementation of HSE improvement tools and processes
  • Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues.
  • Interface with Project Management personnel
  • Implementation and monitoring of the Company's HSE Management System
  • Tracking and trending of critical company HSE data and metrics
  • Providing input for the updating of key company HSE programs and processes including company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance items.
  • Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues as related to overall responsibility
  • Assist with identification of departmental HSE needs and strategies
  • Assist in development of HSE improvement tools and processes
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
