We are seeking a Safety & Health Intern for Summer 2025 who is passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning May 2027.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or similar field.
• Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
• A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, and relaunch existing safety programs to align with current industry standards and company policies.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of safety initiatives, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives.
• Conduct daily interactions with plant employees and contractors, providing guidance on safety practices and procedures.
• Monitor the proper functioning of field equipment, identifying and reporting any issues or hazards to ensure safe operation.
• Perform regular safety inspections, troubleshooting, and quality testing of equipment and processes.
• Document and report findings, and provide recommendations for corrective actions to improve safety standards.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
• At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team.
