About The Position

Ready to Lead SHE in a High-Performance Manufacturing Environment? Do you turn regulations into practical routines? Can you investigate an incident in the morning, build training in the afternoon, and align a cross-functional team by day’s end? If so, you’ll thrive as our SHE Operations Manager. What You'll Do Build and maintain site-wide SHE programs that meet OSHA, EPA, and state requirements. Co-develop and deliver training with the training department to ensure a safe, secure workplace. Lead incident and illness investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness. Drive Human Performance principles through structured learning teams, practical tools, and coaching. Partner with operations, maintenance, and HR to resolve safety issues and embed best practices. Support Worker’s Compensation claims: documentation, follow-up, and return-to-work coordination. Facilitate the employee Safety Committee to elevate frontline engagement and solutions. Conduct and follow up on audits to uncover hazards and mitigate risk. Coordinate plant security: serve as the point of contact for the security company and align on procedures. Manage environmental elements including hazardous materials, air permits, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

  • BS in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, or similar, plus 5+ years of EHS experience.
  • Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets) and comfort with data-driven decisions.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations.
  • Experience with hazardous materials programs, air permitting, and environmental reporting.
  • Clear communicator and collaborative leader with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage pressure, juggle priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to respond to emergencies and adjust hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred credentials: CIH, CSP, and/or CHP.
