About The Position

The Safety and Environmental Specialist works closely with the EHS team to implement and coordinate and further the safety, health, and environmental program of all of Carter Machinery’s locations and departments.

Requirements

Minimum of five years occupation safety and health experience.
Experience leading others in achieving environmental, health, and safety program excellence on a company level.
Intermediate to advanced skills in computer-based technology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Ability to learn environmental, health, and safety concepts.
Ability to quickly evaluate facts and maintain good judgment when making decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent driving record.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and coordinate the safety, health, and environmental program of all of Carter Machinery’s locations and departments.
Provide expertise to branches on environmental, health, and safety concepts.
Develop safety policies and procedures to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) rules and regulations.
Assist the EHS Team in addressing specific reporting and recordkeeping of regulatory agencies.
Promote a positive customer experience.
