The Safety Coordinator provides ongoing monitoring and support at Child Development Council of Franklin County (CDCFC) Traditional Centers and Partnership sites, to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, Head Start Program Performance Standards, all State and Federal regulations, and ODJFS licensing rules. The Coordinator will utilize monitoring data to assist the agency with continuous program improvement. Completes a biannual rotation of Safety Monitoring visits at all Traditional and Partnership locations during each program year. Present findings to agency leaders, and Partnership Directors to review the outcomes of site visits and share recommended strategies and actions needed for adherence to Head Start Performance Standards, best practices, and to inform continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to implement staff training opportunities that improve, encourage and support a culture of safety and safety mindset. Create and facilitate training opportunities that improve, encourage and support a culture of safety and safety mindset Collaborate with the Safety Director in the development and implementation of the annual Safety Calendar. Collaborate in the facilitation and planning for the agency Safety Team meetings. Remain current with federal, state, local regulations, and the use of new and cutting-edge technology in the fields of early childhood education and universal safety practices. Generate reports for the Safety Director that include recommendations for improvement, and outcomes for implemented strategies. Perform other duties as assigned.
