About The Position

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and best practices for FORCE America. This role proactively identifies hazards, mitigates risks, and promotes a culture of safety across the organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years of safety experience in industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Company locations throughout the country during the year.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with and maintain sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft platform (Word, Excel, Teams – etc.)
  • Must have strong analytical abilities and be able to work independently to complete tasks thoroughly.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health/Safety or related field preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Professional Certification preferred (HSE, CSP, ASP or other related).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists and/or leads internal/external safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
  • Coordinates and procures Company safety supplies/PPE.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training and employee engagement efforts.
  • Maintain OSHA logs and safety documentation.
  • Develop and deliver safety communications.
  • Will travel to Company locations to review and support safety programs.
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and drills.
  • Partner with HR and leadership on safety initiatives.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest Safety trends and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
